2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
God allows us to experience trials, tribulations, hardships, heartbreaks, disappointments, difficulties, sorrows, challenges and obstacles so that when it’s time to reach out and encourage others, it’s from first-hand experience.
Our testimonies are more powerful than we can imagine. God saved us, delivers us, heals us, provides for us, protects us, guides us, keeps us (in perfect peace), comforts us and He lead us into all righteousness. The souls that will be won for Christ due to our testimonies will be immeasurable. I look at it this way, how can I tell anyone that God is a healer, or a deliverer, if He hadn’t healed or delivered me? Or how could I tell anyone to trust in the Lord with all their heart, if I had not had to trust in the Lord with all my heart? Through all the challenges that we face, God comforts and keeps us. Now we must reach out, encourage and comfort others.
Whatever you are going through, there is a testimony or victory at the end, through Christ. Once God has seen you through, part of your thanksgiving is to use your testimony to encourage others.
We know that the highest form of comfort is in Jesus Christ!
