In this chapter, we see the faithfulness of Joseph very clearly – in spite of what was meant for evil, which worked out for his good – because he remained faithful to God, and to himself.
As we pass through this life, many situations will arise that have the potential to throw us off-course. The world, our flesh, our enemies and the devil will all conspire to get us to quit on God, and fall far short of our potentials.
Don’t let the hardships and valleys of life hinder your faithfulness. When people lie and talk about you negatively, do not prove them right by conforming to negative expectations. Prove them wrong by remaining faithful to the Lord. Nothing silences the tongue of a critic any quicker than a faithful, godly, life-style. Live so well that no one will believe what the liars say about you anyway.
“Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.” Matthew 10:26
Trust God and stay the course. Joseph teaches us how to be faithful in spite of what we may face in this life. God is looking for servants who will be faithful regardless of which way the wind is blowing. He’s been faithful to us, so, let us remain faithful to Him!
