Thankfulness is the opposite of complaining. We may be facing some difficult challenges, hardships, or obstacles. Our lives may simply be turned up-side-down, but we can at least be thankful. Not for the circumstances, but thankful because our God in heaven loves and cares for us and He is always in control. God asks us to be strong and of good courage, and promised to never leave nor forsake us – Deuteronomy 31:6.
God is calling us to be genuinely thankful from our hearts for His blessings in our lives. God has done so much for us than we could ever repay Him, no matter how hard we try. Doris Akers wrote a song “You Can’t Beat God’s Giving.” And, we can’t! Therefore, the least we can do in the name of Jesus Christ is to bend our knees, bow our heads, and raise our hands before an amazing, and sovereign God. We should be thankful for His love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, peace, joy wisdom, protection, counsel, faithfulness, and so much more. After all, being genuinely thankful is His will for every Believer!
Psalm 100:4-5 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
