Life and death 2

Meditation of my heart
February 18, 2012That great day

Is there a particular day in your life that you hate so much you wish it never happened?
Whatever that day was, there is a great day coming that is potentially millions of times worse. On that great day, everybody that has ever lived or will ever live shall stand before the throne of the almighty God the creator of the universe. Among other books, a book shall be opened. This book is called the book of life.
[note]And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works – Revelation 20:12[/note]
[big-sep]
Merely being a “good” person will not get you into this book. The book ONLY contains the names of everyone who lived a life pleasing unto God. Only the people who accepted Jesus Christ as the son of God who came to die for the sins of the world will have their names in this book of life. The Lord will not look upon their sins but upon the sinless righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ which they accepted.
What a regretful and sorrowful day is shall be for the people whose names are not found in that book of life! [quote-float] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire – Revelation 20:15[/quote-float]They would have lived their lives rejecting the truth of the gospel preached to them. They would have rejected the very existence of the Almighty God.
Ask yourself, will my name be found in this book of life? Am I living a life that glorifies the Lord? Have I TRULY accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour? Am I living accordingly?
If you want your name to be found in the book of life, you need to repent from your sins with the help of the Holy Spirit of God. You need to forsake the current life that you live that isn’t pleasing to the Lord. You need to pray earnestly to the Lord to have mercy on your soul, forgive you and give you the righteousness of Christ. You then need to live a life in accordance with what the Lord has commanded.
We pray that on that great day, we all shall meet and be full of Joy and not regret. AMEN!
