[note]I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15 (NIV)[/note]
Okay, so you claim to be a Christian. If your life is examined today, is there enough evidence to support such claim? Mortifyingly, many called Christians today are dragging the name of the Lord in mud because of the way they live. From Monday to Saturday, they are the devil’s advocate but on Sunday, they lift up their hands to worship the Lord they crucified all week. You may be able to fool the members of your church, but God cannot be mocked, for He sees and knows all. God is calling you to order NOW! Wake up and hear Him, for He only corrects those he loves (Rev 3:19)!
Two pilots going to different destinations cannot fly the same plane. It is therefore impossible to serve two masters (Matthew 6:24) You cannot serve God and sin. God and the devil cannot share you.
In the scripture above, God makes known his hatred for lukewarmness. God doesn’t want you in-between, He wants you on FIRE for Him and Him alone! He doesn’t want to be part of your life, He wants to be your life. Knowing the truth but then returning to your old ways is like a dog returning to its own vomit (2Pet 2:22). How disgusting!
After God has set you apart and washed you from all filth, living some moments for Him and some for the devil is a way of telling him that he wasted his time dying for you. Peter said that it is better if such people never knew the way of the Lord (2Pet 2:21) because their punishment is greater.
The sins may not be “big” sins. They may come in subtle ways such as gossiping, unforgiveness, hatred, lying (no matter what colour the lie is, lie is lie!), stealing, pride, envy and many more. The bible says that the wages of all sin is death.
Get yourself rooted in the Lord and stay there!
